“A Safe Place To Be”

At theVIBE, we purposefully create an environment for you to come and simply ‘be’. Our hopes are not to proselytize you, sell something to you, or fear you into making major life decisions, or morph into an image we feel you need to portray. We simply want to create a safe community for you to seek, to ask questions, and to forum and discuss questions about God, Jesus, life, death, love, war, or other important topics. Our hope is that through discussions and relationships that happen within the community, we may all grow together in our love for one another as well as bump into and build a personal, two-way relationship and community with a seemingly (but actually not!) distant God.

“Hey, Me Too!”

Regardless of who you are, where you come from, what issues, problems, addictions, compulsions, whatever you have, we welcome you! The truth is: We also have issues, problems, addictions, compulsions, a past, etc. Our hope is that in building a community and together growing to know God and experience His empowering and grace, we can be freed of the guilt, the shame, the doubts, the depression caused by the negative aspects of our lives and no longer be held hostage by who we were and what we’ve done. You are definitely NOT ALONE!

“A Better Way”

We’re seeking a better, more-fulfilling way to do life. Each person has three basic emotional needs: A Purpose, An Identity, and Hope. Our purpose at theVIBE is to, as a community, examine and discover options in living a life where God fills in these blanks in a much fuller and wholesome way than our careers, relationships, hobbies, or other such things, which have that strange tendency to fall flat.

“Experiencing, Not Just Lecturing”

At theVIBE, we believe that God’s intention was not for us to just portion out the Bible and create a bunch of laws, rules, and restrictions within categories of “Do’s and Do-Not’s”. Instead, we believe very strongly that God wants to meet us, relate with us, date us, and develop a strong, imminent, and very active relationship with us. He wants to love on us, heal us, raise us up, and allow us to rely on Him for the capacity and capability we need to be and do good in this world, which is realistically impossible for us to do alone and individually.

“Doin’ The Stuff”

We don’t sit in our own little created religious space and arrogantly separate ourselves from this world while blessing each other and being ‘holier than thou’. We instead want to live the awesome life that God would have us, empowered to do the things Jesus did when He walked the Earth, and be covered by love, grace, and forgiveness when we botch it up. We work hard as a community to step out and bring life, love, relief, freedom, and healing to the world that our community desperately needs and, short of a miracle, will never find. We wanna make a difference!

“R-E-S-P-E-C-T”

We love and respect diversity within theVIBE and the greater community around us. We respect everyone as they are, despite their differences from us or others within theVIBE. We respect everyone’s right and privilege to choose their own beliefs and choices and welcome everyone to hang out regardless. We respect everyone’s questions, journeys, struggles, criticisms, comments, and beliefs they bring to the table. Our job is simply to present, teach, and administer the faith and wisdom that Jesus passed onto us to help each person be informed and make informed decisions about major life choices. We also offer this community to call ‘home’ if they feel at home with theVIBE. Our purpose is definitely NOT to dominate, guilt, attack, or bewilder people. We do our best to show love and respect for everyone, whether they completely agree or ardently disagree. We follow the Golden Rule that He taught: “Treat others as you want to be treated!”
